Yaqut designs was established and registered in London, in November 2005. The principle of Yaqut is Taha Thabit Al-Hiti; a British Iraqi Architect and calligrapher.
Al-Hiti has worked in Architecture since 1994 (Baghdad / Amman / Vianna / London) and has been a recognised calligrapher since 1980. In 2004, Al-Hiti was rewarded his "Ijaza" (certificate of qualification) from Mr. Abbas Baghdady (the ex-Iraqi president of Calligraphers association) to be officially his successor in Arabic calligraphy, in accordance with the Calligraphy School of Baghdad (established circa 800AD).
Yaqut employs a verity of artists around the world, such as calligraphers, illuminators ,CAD technicians, print specialists, interior consultants & landscapers.
